Senate of the United States

The Democratic Conference

107th Congress

Text of Democratic Conference resolution commending Elizabeth Letchworth as passed July 17, 2001

The Democratic Members of the Senate assembled on July 17, 2001, do hereby unanimously pass this resolution of commendation to honor Elizabeth Letchworth for her distinguished service.

Elizabeth Letchworth

Whereas Elizabeth Letchworth has served the Senate for over 25 years serving as both Secretary for the Majority and Secretary for the Minority;

Whereas she worked for and with 6 different Majority Leaders;

Whereas, though she has worked for our colleagues on the other side of the aisle, her assistance, over the years, to members of the Democratic Conference has often been appreciated;

Whereas her institutional memory, unflappable demeanor, and good humor will be missed by Senators and staff alike on both sides of the aisle; Now therefore be it

Resolved by the Democratic Conference, That Elizabeth Letchworth is to be commended and thanked for her many years of service to the Senate and wishes her, and her husband Ron, all the best in years to come.
